Following the Pixel 9 release, Google has cut Pixel 8 and Pixel 7a series prices in India with Pixel 8 Pro taking the biggest cut of ₹7,000. As expected, with the new lineup to be released soon, the company has decided to reduce the price of Pixel 8 series of the previous generation as well as the Pixel 7a smartphone.

With the new Pixel 8 series around the corner, Google has decided to introduce steep discounts for the Pixel 7 series in India. On the other hand, the Pixel 7 is now up for grabs for ₹39,999 instead of ₹42,999, which it has been previously, and sometimes even lower. It has been perceived as a tactical step towards the management of stagnated inventory in order to make room for the new gadgets that the technical titan is about to release to the market.

The Pixel 8 series has been launched recently and offers performance as well as camera improvements over its predecessor and its used to fight within the upper tier of the premium segment. The Pixel 8 will cost about $1027 or ₹74,999 and comes with extra AI capabilities and slightly better hardware. The general idea behind this current price cut is to increase the appeal of Google’s premier mobile devices to both new and repeat consumers. Google had also recently agreed information that the first domestically produced Pixel 8 devices have rolled off the production line.
