Elon Musk broke the news and informed people that Quicksilver will be available for Model 3 in Canada and the USA. Tesla fans will find this development helpful since Quicksilver was model Y exclusive and only available in North America up to date. The step comes after Tesla recently unveiled the same paint choice for the Model 3 in China last week, and this is the company’s standard approach to expanding choices of colour for the globe.
Quicksilver Now Available for Model 3
A new colour, Quicksilver, is now available as an option in any of the offered variations of the Model 3, thus giving a new and lively appearance to the acclaimed electric car. Tesla says that Quicksilver refers to “A dynamic, liquid metal effect colour that enhances the contour of Model 3 and Model Y,” It is a premium paint colour meant to stand out on the road as it also boosts the aesthetics of the car’s streamlined look, especially that of the Model 3.
In Canada, if you opt for the Quicksilver option from the available features on Model 3 it will cost an additional C$2,600 on the base price. In the case of the United States, the extra expense of this paint type is US$2000. Such prices correspond to the cost of retrofitting Quicksilver for Model Y, which can be attributed to this particular hue’s exclusivity.
A Global Expansion of Quicksilver
Quicksilver was introduced in the latter part of 2022 in Tesla cars manufactured at the Giga Berlin factory. When the announcement was made, it was expected that Quicksilver would only be made in the German factory because of a paint shop that Musk, the CEO of Tesla, said was the best globally. Currently, at the Berlin paint shop, advanced technologies have been installed that enable the use of highly complex and high-quality paintwork hitherto not possible.
Still, Tesla has since then increased investments in paint shops in its other facilities allowing for the deployment of the Quicksilver option in other facilities. Earlier this year, Quicksilver became available from Gig Shanghai which is Tesla’s production centre in China. Now, with the latest update, the Quicksilver paint option is also manufactured at the Giga Texas facility and the Fremont facility in California. Thus, this expansion unveils the readiness of Tesla Motors to offer its customers variety to meet their demands and customise its examples to their preferences.
Enhancing the Model 3 Experience
The addition of the Quicksilver paint option for the Model 3 in North America should further complement the design of the car. Considering that the Tesla Model 3 has been one of the most popular car models out there, it is famous for many factors namely the technology it adopted the interning range, and the low price it offers.
Combined with Quicksilver, the Model 3 is even more appealing to those who seek both performance and aesthetics. Another illustration of Tesla’s commitment to enhancing and growing the production of Quicksilver is the company’s willingness to perpetuate the distribution of the paint according to different factories and markets. By opening up the Quicksilver choice, Tesla is satisfying the different tastes of car users around the world, and at the same time, ensuring that its cars retain the quality and designs that buyers have come to expect from the company. But as the company progresses with improvements in Model 3 production lines and increases the number of choices available for its customers in North
America, the Quicksilver paint option may well become a favorite. To new Tesla owners and those who have recently bought a Model 3, Quicksilver provides a more rebellious paint option that does stand out from your typical factory color scheme. Quicksilver presents itself as a highly dynamic and shiny metal paint that enhances the vehicle design as well; this color is set to be a favorite among Tesla car owners especially those who wish to add more sophistication to their cars and at the same time add a much younger look to their cars.
