Further, with the current progress in the years, the state government is taking substantial measures to construct and market tourist visits. 

Speaking at a function at Mathura, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh stated, “Today UP is attracting the maximum number of tourists. Earlier Goa was on the top and Uttar Pradesh on the third place. Bu last year 80 lakh tourists went to Goa, while Seven crore devotees came to Kashi (Varanasi) and Six crore devotees visited the Braj area”.

UP CM has mentioned a figure that is true according to the Tourism Statistics 2022 report prepared by the Ministry of Tourism.
