Pooja Hedge was born on October 13th, 1990 in Udupi and raised in Mumbai. Her parents are Manjunath Hegde and Latha Hegde and also has an elder brother Rishabh Hegde. She is an expert in Hindi, Tulu, Marathi, and English. Pooja Hegde was raised in a socially rich environment. She started her career by participating in different pageants. Hegde contested in the Miss India 2009 competition but was eliminated in an initial round despite winning the Miss India Talented 2009 honor. She again applied the next year and was the runner-up in the Miss Universe India 2010 competition. She started her acting debut in 2012 with the Teli film Mugamoodi, where she played a supporting role. Her appearance in Telugu cinema by performance in Oka Laila kosam (2014). She earned a nomination for the Best Tamil Female Debut Actress at the 2nd South Indian International Movie Awards.
